The Art League of Baytown is home to some of Baytown's
best and most accomplished artists in every artistic field,
including painting, sculpting, card and jewelry making, crafts,
poetry, and photography, as well as many students, beginners,
and lovers of art.
It is the mission of the Baytown Art League to spread a sense of community and a shared
love of art. The Art League accomplishes this in several ways first by offering classes and
work shops with knowledgeable instructors that are reasonably priced and open to the
public. Secondly the art league grants scholarships to select students, with an aptitude for
art. Another way the Baytown Art League accomplishes its mission is with the Baytown Art
Center on Texas Avenue. The Art Center not only is the location for great classes but it
also
has a gallery displaying the incredible work of its members, most of which is for sale to the
public, the B.A.C. also hosts poetry nights, and meetings for the Baytown Photo Club.
The Baytown Art League is always looking for new members, that truly reflect the
unique and interesting culture of Baytown. Members maybe of any age, race or
background, but should all share a love of art and a sense of community for the greater
Baytown Area.
